Hangin out in the BA

Hello everyone! I hope all is well in the States (cold probably...it's SO hot here). So, Saturday night Dan had to work so I went and hung out at the bar while he worked. I had some really interesting conversations with funny drunk teenagers, and it was really fun. Dan is a real bartender! It's so cool! The bar is really nice and the people are too. At about 10:30 I went upstairs to sleep. Dan had to work until 4, but I had been awake for about 36 hours so I finally just passed out. I slept for about 15 hours and it was beautiful. Yesterday we went to this cool flee market type thing that happens on Sundays. Basically this whole street turns into a place where people sell all sorts of cool stuff and there is a ton of live music and tango dancing. We wanted to find a tango class, but ended up finding out about a lindy dance that happens Sunday nights. The dance ended up being really fun...there are a lot of good dancers here. Dan's dancing is rocckinn. Also, Juan and Emily were there. Juan lives in Buenos Aires, but travels and teaches. We had met him in Baltimore (I danced with him a ton of times and it was aweesomme). Emily lives in Pittsburgh (I think...or Philly?) and I hadn't seen her since Beantown.

After dancing so much in gross humidity we took the bus back and got some food downstairs. Oh! I have been eating meat. Crazy, I know. I thought about it before coming down here because a lot of people told me it would be hard to not eat meat and that it's really good. So for this week, I am eating meat.

Now it is almost 1 in the afternoon and I am partially freaking out because I haven't done my homework yet. Today is homework doing day. I hope all is well with everyone...I am really glad I came here.
